How to Install OpenOffice 3 on Ubuntu or Debian-based system

Please follow the easy steps below:
First of all make sure you remove any unused older version

1. Choose and Download the deb package from  http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#en-US
2. Right click or double click on the downloaded archive
       If you want you can also use the command tar -xzvf archive_name.tar.gz
3. Move to the extracted folder and from a terminal window type:  
       cd DEBS
       dpkg -i *.deb
4. To upgrade also the Open Office 3 menu items, move to folder desktop-integration and type
         dpkg -i *.deb

Launch Open Office and Register it!
